Public lecture on peptides

A University of Wolverhampton professor will give a free public lecture on new discoveries in the scientific field of peptides.

Professor John Howl, an expert in Molecular Pharmacology, will give the next talk in the University’s Public Lecture series on Wednesday, 21 November, at 6pm.

His talk, Adventures in Peptide Space, will focus on current research into peptides, which are folded strings of amino acids. Professor John Howl will illustrate the diverse properties and numerous applications of peptides in chemistry, biology and medicine.

Professor Howl said: “The presentation will consider the history of peptide synthesis and some modern trends within the field. I will present some of our more recent findings at the University of Wolverhampton.”

The lecture, which is free and is open to all, will take place in the Lecture Theatre in the Millennium City Building at the University’s Wolverhampton City Campus.
